Writing your own newsletter is an essential internet marketing tool.

You will have to create a form on you webpage(s) to capture your visitors' email addresses and or names. However don't ask for too much information or you will frighten them away.

Also make sure you add a link on your webpage (below your form is a good place)to your privacy policy so they know you are not going to distribute their email addresses to anyone else!

To set up a form you will need to put a bit of HTML code into your web page(s) and a form handler (which is a script that communicates with the HTML) on your server. For more details on how to do this click here.

You need to be able to allow your website visitors o subscribe and un-subscribe automatically otherwise you will spend hours adding and subtracting email addresses. You have a number of different options depending on how much you know about cgi-scripts. If you don't know any code the best plan is to use a newsletter service like Aweber.com
