CSS Browser compatibility

Browser compatibility code for stylesheets

It is important to stress that if you have a simple website you may be able to use one stylesheet for all browsers (as long as you don't mind small differences such as font size).

However due to the differences in the extent that browsers support CSS, you may need to include a script on your pages that detects the browser version and "serves" the visitor the correct stylesheet.

My advice is first create your page without the javascript detection, and if it looks different in Internet Explorer and Firefox, then have a look at creating the detection script.

See a sample browser detection script.

Next let us create a stylesheet which will work in most browsers.
